Graduates of the MA in Screenwriting at NUI Galway have now scooped three Pitching Awards at the Galway Film Fleadh, since the award’s inception in 2004. The most recent winner is Barbara Deignan (MA Screenwriting 06), from Carrick-on-Shannon, Co Leitrim. 

The wild, weird, mind altering Irish trad and world music band Kíla have announced that they will play The Black Box on Thursday October 30 at 8.30pm.

THE 21ST Galway Film Fleadh will take place from Tuesday July 7 to Sunday July 12 and aspiring film makers are being encouraged to enter the fleadh’s Pitching Award.

THE AMERICAN filmmaker Jon Jost will host a special workshop at the Galway Film Fleadh in conjunction with the Galway Film Centre. A number of his films will also be screened during the fleadh.
